Welfare Scheme: Kano State CP Presents Cheques Of N83,102,207:38 To 45 Beneficiaries

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba, on the 8th of October, 2024, presented cheques amounting to the sum of N88,102,207.38 to 45 beneficiaries under the Inspector-General of Police Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident, and Family Welfare Scheme.

The Command spokesman, a Superintendent of Police, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said that the beneficiaries that were presented with the cheques are the Next of Kin of deceased Police Officers and Police victims of accidents.

Garba, while handing over the cheques, said: “This gesture is in line with Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, welfare scheme, designed to support families of deceased officers who paid the supreme price and those who have been injured in the line of duty.

“The CP further urged the beneficiaries to utilize this support judiciously, ensuring it brings relief and comfort during these difficult times. He finally prayed for the repose of the departed souls and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.”

 

In a moment of joy and overwhelmed by the gesture of the Inspector-General of Police, the beneficiaries thanked the IGP and promised to make good use of the money as it comes in a time of need.
