Woman dies after visit to Lagos hotel, lover disappears

-

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of a woman, who died after going into a hotel with a man believed to be her husband.

The Police have also launched a manhunt for the man who went into the hotel with the woman but disappeared after the woman gave up the ghost.

However, the Police have arrested the hotel manager for further questioning.

The Lagos State Police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, speaking on the case, explained that on the 11th of October, 2024, at about 10:10 pm, a report was made at Dopemu Police Division by the manager of a hotel, that at about 9:30 pm of the same date, a man walked into their hotel with a lady to have a short rest.

“The identity of the man and the lady was however not taken by the hotel manager. He stated further that after an hour, the lady rushed out claiming she was feeling hot.

“The manager said he gave her cold water to drink and the said lady was still not feeling well and was later taken to a hospital at Dopemu Road where she later gave up the ghost while the man that brought her to the hotel absconded.

“Meanwhile, the manager of the hotel is in police custody to facilitate investigation. The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at Lagos Mainland General Hospital Yaba.

“Investigation is still on to unravel the cause of death and trace the identity of the deceased, at the same time to apprehend the fleeing lover man.”
