…To continue proactive policing strategies, warns against use of fireworks

In his determination to sustain the already existing peaceful atmosphere during the yuletide season, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Chris Aimionowane, on Friday, 22nd December 2023, met with the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and tactical Commanders to strengthen security architecture around religious and event/recreational centres throughout the length and breadth of the State.

The CP equally directed the officers to always collaborate with other relevant security agencies in deploying both human and material arsenals at their disposal, to ensure that the purposes of visibility policing, rigorous stop and search, aggressive patrols, raiding of identified black spots and uncompleted buildings across the nooks and crannies of the State are achieved.

This, said CP Aimionowane, will being about the expected conducive atmosphere before, during and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

While felicitating with the Christian faithful in the State, the CP warns against the use of knockouts, fireworks or firecrackers during the yuletide season as the use may likely cause panic or apprehension in the minds of unsuspecting members of the public.

The CP also appealed to the good people of Kebbi State to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in providing accurate and timely information about movement of criminals and suspicious person(s) in their domain to the nearest Police Station or call the Commissioner of Police on 08033208269, Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations on 08035891167, Deputy Commissioner of Police State CID on 08034756313 or PPRO on 08065159812 for prompt response, please.
