Twenty-five-year-old Garba Musa has been arrested for alleged kidnapping in Kebbi State.

According to the police, when the suspect was arrested, he confessed to being a kidnapper and further confessed to belonging to a gang headed by one Yau, who is still at large.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, while speaking on the matter, said: “On the 30th of November 2022, at about 2: am, while on patrol, a team of policemen attached to Birnin Yauri Divisional Police Headquarters, intercepted Garba Musa, aged 25, of Tashan Alura village, Niger State on motorcycle conveying 20 years old Amira Adamu of Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State. When interrogated, the said Garba Musa confessed to being a kidnapper and belonging to a gang led by one Ya’u, who is still at large. The strength of gang is eight in number and they have two AK47 rifles. In the course of the investigation, Hamisu Sule, 25, alias Hola of Zamfara State, was also arrested in connection with the case. The case is still under investigation at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department (SCIID) and will soon be charged to court.”
