Chief Felix Akiga, recently kidnapped and returned scathed, has attributed his survival to divine intervention.
According to Mimi Atedze, the incident happened on January 7th, 2024, during his journey to Jos, around the forest area.
Atedze added: “This incident has raised concerns about road and overall security in Plateau State, leading to calls for heightened measures by authorities.
“Expressing gratitude to God, Uncle Felix specifically thanked the Army officers who rescued him. During the abduction, he faced physical assault from bandits disguised in army uniforms, armed with AK-47s, knives, and clubs.
“Uncle Felix managed to crawl to the road when the assailants abandoned him, fleeing into the bush. Stripped of his clothes and undies, he was rescued by some army officers and promptly taken to Jos for treatment and scans.
“On the 10th of January, 2024, he underwent a CT Scan at a private hospital in Jos, and the results were remarkably positive no internal bleeding, and his blood pressure stood at 128/70.
“It is a testament to the goodness of God. In every circumstance, our God proves to be good at all times. Considering the incident, Uncle Felix acknowledges the potentially dire outcome if not for divine intervention.
“We visited him on Saturday and were shocked by the ordeal he endured during the incident.”
