Lagos Police Deploy Anti-Cultism Squads Statewide, Releases Emergency Contacts

In a bold move aimed at eradicating cult-related violence and criminal activity across the state, the Lagos State Police Command has announced the deployment of specialised Anti-Cultism Squads to every Area Command within its jurisdiction.

These squads, equipped and trained for rapid response operations, will focus on:

  • Conducting targeted surveillance of cultist strongholds
  • Responding swiftly to distress calls from the public
  • Arresting individuals involved in cultism
  • Partnering with communities to break up cult networks and restore peace

To facilitate citizen engagement and quick reporting of threats, the Police Command has released direct phone numbers for each squad per Area Command:
