ICPC Chairman Urges Staff to Embrace “Mission Possible” at 2025 Customer Service Week Symposium*

-

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has joined the global celebration of the 2025 Customer Service Week with a symposium held at its headquarters auditorium in Abuja.

The event, themed “Mission Possible,” highlighted the Commission’s ongoing commitment to excellence in service delivery and integrity in public service.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, Mr. Clifford Oparaodu reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to its mission of ridding Nigeria of corruption through lawful enforcement and preventive measures.

Dr. Aliyu commended the Reforms/SERVICOM Unit for organising the symposium and for their tireless efforts in ensuring quality service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.

He noted the unit’s achievements in implementing the ICPC Service Charter, monitoring key processes such as procurement, conducting customer satisfaction surveys, and handling complaints with professionalism.

The Chairman also expressed appreciation to the SERVICOM Office for its continued partnership with the Commission, citing previous collaborations including the 2024 Customer Service Week, the launch of the ICPC Service Charter, and a staff sensitisation program held in February 2025.

Speaking on the theme, Dr. Aliyu emphasised that the fight against corruption, though challenging, remains achievable through a shared sense of purpose and collective action.

“The fight against corruption is not for ICPC alone but for every Nigerian who has the interest of the nation at heart,” he stated. “With integrity, hope, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we can turn our mission into a possible reality.”

In a goodwill message, the Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, represented by Mr. Mfon Mfon, congratulated the ICPC on its steadfast role in promoting integrity, accountability, and public trust.

He lauded the Commission’s focus on citizen-centred service delivery, particularly through improved complaint resolution mechanisms and digital reporting platforms that enhance transparency and public confidence.

Mr. Mfon commended the dedication of ICPC staff who handle public complaints, petitions, and inquiries daily, describing them as “frontline heroes” who embody the spirit of the 2025 theme, Mission Possible.

The event underscored ICPC’s commitment to fostering a culture of ethical conduct, teamwork, and excellence in service delivery, reaffirming that with determination and collaboration, the goal of a corruption-free Nigeria is indeed possible.
