The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, on Tuesday received the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Delta State Command, C.I. Christiana Solo-Akora, and members of her management team on a courtesy visit to the State Police Command Headquarters in Asaba.

The visit focused on strengthening inter-agency collaboration, enhancing intelligence sharing, and exploring strategies to improve security and border management across Delta State.

Speaking during the meeting, CP Oyeniyi commended the Nigeria Immigration Service for its continued contributions to national security, stressing the importance of synergy among security agencies in addressing emerging security challenges.

The Nigeria Immigration Service has continued to play a critical role in safeguarding the nation’s borders and supporting internal security efforts. We remain committed to sustaining effective cooperation with sister security agencies in the collective effort to protect lives and property across Delta State,” the police commissioner said.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both agencies to discuss areas of mutual interest and reinforce their commitment to a coordinated approach to security management in the state.

The Delta State Police Command reiterated its resolve to maintain strong partnerships with relevant security stakeholders to ensure a safer environment for residents.
