IGP Disu, Service Chiefs Attend 4th UK–Nigeria Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue in Abuja

 The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Tuesday joined other Service Chiefs and top security officials at the 4th UK–Nigeria Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue held at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Abuja.

The high-level engagement brought together senior security and defence officials from Nigeria and the United Kingdom to discuss critical areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening bilateral security cooperation.

Key issues deliberated upon during the dialogue included counter-terrorism efforts, intelligence sharing, capacity building, and other collaborative measures designed to address emerging and evolving security challenges facing both nations.

The meeting highlighted the commitment of Nigeria and the United Kingdom to deepening their strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation in tackling security threats.

Participants emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration in promoting regional stability, strengthening national security frameworks, and fostering sustainable peace.

The UK–Nigeria Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue serves as a key platform for advancing joint security initiatives and reinforcing long-standing ties between both countries in addressing shared security concerns.
