The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, has reaffirmed the command’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, extortion and other acts of indiscipline among police personnel.

Erale gave the assurance on Thursday, October 8, 2026, during a strategic conference with senior police officers at the State Police Headquarters in Asaba.

He emphasised the need for discipline, professionalism, intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights and accountability in the discharge of police duties.

The police commissioner urged senior officers to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ensure that their subordinates adhere to established rules and regulations while carrying out their responsibilities.

He also reiterated his commitment to proactive policing and strengthening security across Delta State, stressing the importance of protecting the lives and property of residents.

Eralefe maintained that discipline and accountability remained critical to effective policing and public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.

The conference formed part of efforts by the Delta State Police Command to strengthen professional standards, improve operational effectiveness and ensure the safety and security of residents.
