The suspects were arrested following credible information received on 29th June 2022 at 11:30 PM. The suspects were identified as Ozegbe Ade Oseghale, 27, and Abdulazeez Abdullahi, 37.

The police revealed that the suspects had been terrorising Agbede area and environs and had been on the Police Wanted List.

Oseghale and Abdullahi were tracked and arrested at their hideout in Aviele area of Agbede in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jennifer U. Iwegbu said that the arrest came in the command’s continual determination to fight against violent crimes and other negative vices in the state.

The image maker added that one locally made pistol, two live cartridges, a Toyota Camry car with registration number KTU-970-GG and weeds suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from them.

“The suspects are cooperating with the police investigation and will be charged to court after the investigation is concluded. The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Abutu Yaro, while reiterating the Command continues raiding of criminals’ hideouts, promised to maintain the tempo until criminal elements change their ways or relocate from Edo State,” said Iwegbu.
