The AIG FCID Annex Lagos, AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo, received the Director of Operations and Investigation at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), ACGN Archie-Abia Ibinabo, and her entourage for a courtesy visit on January 16, 2025, at her office in FCID Annex, Lagos.

ACGN Ibinabo introduced herself and her management team during the visit, emphasizing the continued need for collaborative support between the police and the NDLEA. She highlighted that combating drug-related offences is critical in reducing crime to its bare minimum and also in raising public awareness. She also proposed a joint training program to enhance inter-agency cooperation, ultimately working toward a peaceful, crime-free society. ACGN Ibinabo expressed her gratitude to AIG Ogbodo and the INTERPOL  Section for their swift and effective responses to combat crime when requested.
In her response, AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo warmly welcomed ACGN Ibinabo and her team, commending the thoughtfulness of the courtesy visit. She acknowledged the crucial synergy between both agencies, noting that the FCID, as the apex body for investigations, frequently interfaces with drug-related offences. She affirmed that the core objective of policing is to maintain peace and order in the country and acknowledged the vital role of the NDLEA in this mission. AIG Ogbodo pledged her full support for the NDLEA and assured them of the FCID Annex Lagos cooperation in all matters when needed.
The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and a photo session, symbolizing the strengthened collaboration between the two security agencies.
