Army Chief Commissions Abuja Housing Project, Reaffirms Commitment to Personnel Welfare

-

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has emphasised that the well-being of personnel is a cornerstone of the Nigerian Army’s operational success and long-term institutional strength.

Speaking during the inauguration of a new Post-Service Housing Development project in the nation’s capital, Lieutenant General Shaibu reaffirmed that the welfare of troops remains a top priority under his leadership. He described the housing initiative as a strategic investment designed to bolster the morale and socio-economic stability of soldiers and their families.

According to the Army Chief, the project serves as a tangible reflection of the military’s dedication to the holistic needs of its workforce. He highlighted that these advancements are made possible through a combination of well-structured policies and the prudent management of resources.

Lieutenant General Shaibu further noted that providing modern infrastructure is essential for enhancing the quality of life within Army formations.

By fostering environments that promote community living, the Nigerian Army aims to ensure that personnel are well-supported both during their active service and into their retirement.
