…Declares Weekly Briefings, Warns Against Indiscipline And Unprofessional Conduct
The Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Patrick Adedeji Atayero, on 14th April 2025, held his first official leadership lecture with members of the management team, setting the tone for a disciplined, accountable, and purpose-driven administration.
During the session, the Commandant announced that leadership briefings will now hold consistently every Monday, with the goal of reviewing progress, strengthening internal coordination, and fostering a culture of professional excellence within the Academy.
He used the opportunity to issue a firm warning against indiscipline, negligence, and all forms of unprofessional conduct, emphasizing that every officer must uphold the highest standards of police ethics and operational responsibility.
AIG ATAYERO, further encouraged all officers to embrace a renewed culture of consistency, dedication, and institutional pride, while reaffirming his commitment to capacity building, operational readiness, and result-oriented leadership.
This maiden lecture marks the beginning of a continuous and interactive leadership engagement, aimed at repositioning the Nigeria Police Academy for greater effectiveness and national relevance.
