The Akwa Ibom State Police Command, under the amiable leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, on 8th October 2025, received 255 Recruit Constables at the Command headquarters, Uyo.

In his address, CP Azare formally welcomed the new officers and congratulated them on their successful enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force.

He stated that their appointment represents a fundamental call to national duty, requiring unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and the impartial upholding of the law.

The Commissioner of Police laid out a clear operational framework for the recruits, mandating the highest standards of discipline, professional conduct, and strict adherence to legal and ethical codes as the non-negotiable bedrock of their careers.

He issued a stern warning that the Command maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of misconduct, corruption, and indiscipline, affirming that the era of impunity within the Force has been conclusively ended.

Further reinforcing the principles of the Force under the leadership of IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Commissioner, CP Azare, highlighted the imperative of respecting the fundamental human rights of all citizens as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He also reminded the recruits of the Inspector-General of Police’s stringent policy on the use of social media, cautioning that any misuse of digital platforms to disparage the image of the Nigeria Police Force will be met with severe disciplinary action.

The CP concluded by urging individuals with motives contrary to the Force’s ethical standards to realign their priorities immediately.

He charged the new constables to embrace the core values of integrity, transparency, and public accountability as they embark on their law enforcement careers.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command reiterates its unwavering commitment to ensuring public safety, maintaining law and order, and fortifying community partnerships through proactive and professional policing.
