-

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has reaffirmed his commitment to professional, proactive, people-friendly, and results-based policing in the State.

He restated this while receiving the Chairman of Ezeagu Local Government Area, Dr. Vita Ndu, and a delegation of retired security chiefs under the Eche Obodo Security Group of Enugu North Senatorial Zone.

Dr. Ndu commended CP Giwa for his tireless efforts in maintaining law and order, particularly highlighting the swift response and support by the Police during the recent kidnapping and ritual killing incident at Umuojor, Isiagu Umumba Autonomous Community in Ezeagu.

Also speaking, the group of retired security chiefs, including Major Generals, Commissioners of Police, DSS Directors, and Immigration Controllers, praised the CP’s achievements within a short period in office. Their leader, retired Major General Godwin Ugwuoke, emphasised the visible impacts of CP Giwa’s leadership on policing in the State.

The visitors urged the Commissioner to sustain the momentum in the fight against crime and pledged their continued support to the Command’s efforts in improving security across Enugu State.

In response, CP Giwa expressed gratitude for the recognition and support, assuring that the Command will remain committed to community-focused and collaborative policing.

He called for the sustained partnership of citizens and stakeholders in enhancing the State’s security architecture.
