The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Anambra State People Living in Enugu (ASPE) for his exceptional performance in crime prevention and control across the State.
The award was presented to the Commissioner on Saturday, 25th October 2025, during the ASPE 2025 Anambra Day/Iwaji Festival and Award Presentation Ceremony held at Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu.
In his remarks after receiving the award, CP Giwa reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining professional and proactive policing in Enugu State. He assured that the Command would continue to intensify efforts toward crime prevention and deal decisively with offenders whenever prevention fails.
Expressing gratitude to the leadership and members of ASPE, as well as Ndị Anambra residing in Enugu, CP Giwa thanked them for finding him worthy of the honour. He also urged continued collaboration with the Police in efforts to rid the State of criminal elements and ensure the safety of all residents.
