CP Lagos Warns Criminals To Vacate Lagos State Or Face Tough Time

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Moshood Jimoh has warned criminally minded people to vacate the state or get nailed and dealt with accordingly.

 

The CP who declared zero tolerance on acts of criminality in the state warned that the command has perfected the strategy to get rid of evildoers and make the state a peaceful area for both the residents and visitors.

 

Addressing a gathering at the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Lagos Island branch annual Ramadan lecture on Sunday, he assured that his officers and men will not tamper with the rights of the citizens while discharging their duties.

 

CP Jimoh who was at the occasion with his DCP Admin of the Command assured that his officers and men would do everything possible to ensure that crimes and criminality in the state are fought to a standstill.

 

Responding, the National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik expressed gratification to CP Jimoh for attending the program on short notice.

 

He assured Lagosians that the CP pledges would be met accordingly by providing adequate security to everyone with his wealth of knowledge and experience in combating crime.

 

Alhaji Abdulmalik who is a retired Assistant Controller General of Immigration (ACG) also appealed to indigenes of Ilorin Emirate living at home and in diaspora to always exhibit beautiful characters for the corporate image of the community to remain alluring and respected.

 

The President, who was conferred with an award by the Branch at the event for exemplary performance within the shortest period explained that it is the responsibility of indigenes to ensure that the community maintains her beautiful reputation as exhibited by her founding fathers and those who succeeded them for such to be passed over to the younger and incoming generations.

 

Also speaking at the event, the IEDPU Chairman, Western Zone, Alhaji Sulaimon Oba Ahmed who expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police, the National President and his entourage, declared the total support of Ilorin Indigenes in Lagos to make CP Moshood Jimoh a memorable and success tenure in the State.

 

While praying for the duo to excel in their respective positions, Alhaji added that the CP will witness rapid promotion to attain the head of his chosen profession.

 

Other dignitaries and distinguished Ilorin Indigenes at the event were the National Vice President, Alhaji Abdul Rauf Babatunde Issa; the National Secretary, Abubakar Imam; the National Auditor, Mallam Adam Hanafi Alabere; the National Social Secretary, Mallam Moshood Pakata, the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim among others.
