NSCDC Condemns Acts Of Vandalism, Ritual Killings, Kidnapping, Other Social Vices

In the maiden Ramadan Public Lecture, organized, today, Tuesday, 11th March 2025, at the Command’s Headquarters, by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, under the auspices of its Muslim Community.

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command,  Mr Adedotun Keshinro has condemned the unlawful, worrisome and barbaric ways by which the lives of citizens are taken by some unscrupulous elements in the society.

The commandant stated this during the maiden Ramadan Public Lecture, organized on the 11th of March, 2025, at the NSCDC Command’s Headquarters.

Commandant seized the Ramadan and the Lent period, to call on the good people of the state, to embrace the good virtues of the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible, which teach love, harmony, unity, patience and tolerance.

Dr Nurudeen Ibrahim, a special guest at the event, spoke on how all citizens should uphold and respect the sanctity of human life.

He further stated that the unlawful taking of human life remains abominable and condemnable in any given society all over the world.

He appealed to all Nigerians to shun these barbaric acts seen in various places across the country.

The Honourable Member representing Agege II and Chairman of the event, Honourable Abdulkareem Jubril, applauded NSCDC for organising the intellectual event aimed at enlightening members of the public about the importance of peaceful coexistence and also involvement in vandalism, kidnapping, ritual killings and other crimes.

The event was graced by the representative of the Iyaloja General of Nigeria ( Mother of the Day ), Chief ( Dr ) Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the representative of the special guest, Honourable Oladeebo Olaide and Sheikh ( Dr ) Ahmad Olanrewaju Al – Fulani and many other distinguished guests.

Others who attended the event include representatives of Security Agencies such as; the Nigeria Police Force ( NPF ), the Nigeria Correctional Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) and members of the fourth estate of the realm, in a bid to assist the State Command in purveying the right message to the general public on how to increase the value for human life in our highly challenging society.
