CP Tijani Fatai Assesses Security at Pan-Atlantic University Following Viral Video

-

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Tijani Fatai, on Tuesday conducted an on-the-spot security assessment at Pan-Atlantic University, Lekki, following the circulation of a viral video showing two masked individuals emerging from a forested area adjoining the institution.

Leading operational personnel of the Lagos State Police Command during the visit, the police commissioner met with the university’s management and reviewed the security situation around the campus.

During the assessment, CP Fatai stressed the need for the institution to continually strengthen its security architecture and adopt practical measures to enhance safety across the campus. He also cautioned against actions that could undermine existing security arrangements, emphasising the importance of maintaining vigilance and institutional responsibility.

As part of efforts to bolster security operations in the area, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), with the support of the Lagos State Government, has deployed surveillance drones to the axis. The initiative is aimed at improving aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and crime prevention within and around the university environment.

The commissioner reassured the university management, staff, students, and parents of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property across Lagos State. He urged the institution to improve perimeter security, strengthen access control measures, and sustain close collaboration with security agencies.

CP Fatai reiterated the Lagos State Police Command’s resolve to maintain peace, public safety, and security throughout the state. He also encouraged residents to remain vigilant and support law enforcement agencies with credible and timely information.

The command urged members of the public to report suspicious activities through its emergency lines: 07061019374, 08065154338, 08063299264, 08039344870, and 09168630929.
