The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed Ali on 20th October 2022, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Baba Usman, presented N26,170,760 cheques to families of deceased officers who died while in active service.

The cheques issued to the next of kin of seven deceased officers are part of the IGP insurance welfare scheme.

While presenting the cheques, the CP appreciated the gesture of the IGP as the cheques will in no small way, act as a boost to the families and also let them know that though their loved ones are no more, the force did not forget their sacrifices.

The beneficiaries thanked the IGP, noting that their money will be used judiciously.
