In compliance with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on the need to resuscitate lecture sessions with corps members across the country with a view to reshaping their minds for a better life ahead of them.
The commissioner of Police, Delta state, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, detailed the Police Public Relations officer, SP Edafe Bright, to the NYSC orientation camp on 1st October 2025.

It was an insightful engagement as the corps members were lectured on topics such as Cybercrime, law enforcement, Rights, responsibility of citizens, police accountability, and community Policing.
The corps members were engaged, and it was an interactive session where questions and observations were raised, which were given proper answers to the delight of the Corps members in attendance.
The corps members were encouraged to remain good ambassadors of their country, stay away from crime, shun all forms of violence, be kind, honest in their opinions, and in their future endeavours.
The importance of knowing their rights and the rights of others was also emphasised while reiterating the importance of their freedom and that anything that could take away their freedoms should be avoided at all costs.
The corps members were also lectured on their responsibilities as citizens, which, as outlined in section 24 of the Nigerian 1999 constitution as amended, include but are not limited to respecting the constitution and institutions, promoting national interest, showing patriotism, maintaining law and order by assisting law enforcement agencies to maintain peace within the community, etc.
On Police accountability, avenues of complaints were made available, phone numbers, and other means of reaching out to the Police in cases of complaints against Police actions.
