Delta Police Raids Drug Den, Arrests 3 Women, Recovers Codeine, Canadian Loud

The Delta State Police Command has announced another breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on illicit drug trafficking and substance abuse across the state, following the arrest of three female suspects during a raid in Warri metropolis.

According to a statement by Bright Edafe, spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, operatives of the Area Command, Effurun, acted on credible intelligence regarding suspected drug trafficking activities within the Ogbomoro and Ugolo communities. The covert operation was carried out on May 7, 2026, at about 9:20 p.m.

Edafe said the operation led to the arrest of a suspected drug baron, Favour Isaac, 25, alongside two alleged accomplices identified as Favour Felix, 24, and Samson Precious, 19.

During the raid at the suspects’ hideout along River Road in Ogbomoro community, officers reportedly recovered 21 bottles of CSC Codeine, two canisters containing Nitrous Oxide, popularly known as “laughing gas,” two packs of suspected psychoactive chewing gum branded “Highness Gum,” and about 640 grams of substances suspected to be Canadian Loud concealed in bags and containers.

The police spokesperson disclosed that preliminary investigations identified one Rukewe Tega Isaac, who is currently at large, as the alleged major supplier behind the drug network.

He added that efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect and other members of the syndicate.

Speaking on the development, Yemi Oyeniyi reiterated the Command’s commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against drug trafficking and other criminal activities across the state.

“The abuse and circulation of illicit drugs remain a major driver of violent crimes and social vices among youths,” the police commissioner said, while urging residents to continue supporting the police with timely and useful information.
