Drama As Police, Family, Resident Chase After Who Allegedly Attempts To Steal Child

The Egba Police Division in Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the attempted theft of a child.

Detectives from the division have also arrested a suspect after a preliminary investigation.

A Situation Report states: “On the 25th of September 2024, at about 10:am, one Korede Moyegun from Ogunmakin Via Owode Egba reported that today being 25th of September 2024, at about 07:29 am, when his male child was defecating on the mobile toilet system in the front of his house at Otesile Street Ogunmakin, one Monday Baba Ibeji stole his one-year-old child who was defecating.

“He ran away with his child named Yomife  Moyekun. He ran with the child from Ogunmakin Township to Gofamint area before the father, policemen and members of the community at Ogunmakin could catch up with the suspect. The suspect was later arrested, and he is currently undergoing interrogation.”
