The Nigerian media industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of veteran journalist and Publisher of The Eagle Online, Dotun Oladipo. He was 56.

NewsmakersNG learnt from close associates of the respected journalist that Oladipo died on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, after suddenly taking ill.

According to information obtained by NewsmakersNG, Oladipo had been at his office when he began to feel unwell and decided to drive himself to the hospital.

He reportedly suffered what was suspected to be a heart attack during the emergency.
