The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, on Wednesday, decorated four newly promoted senior officers, charging them to remain disciplined, dedicated, and committed to the highest standards of integrity.
The officers decorated were DCPs Olubisi Oyedeji Oyedepo and Ukwa Bernard Amaga, both promoted from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), and ACPs Afam Christopher Ofomata and Gladys Okafor, both promoted from Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
Addressing the officers at the ceremony, CP Giwa congratulated them on their elevation and reminded them that the promotions came with greater responsibilities. He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through professionalism, diligence, and exemplary conduct, stressing that they would be judged by their competence, commitment, and integrity. He charged them to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties.
Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, DCP Oyedepo thanked the Police Service Commission for approving the promotions and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, for recommending them. He also commended the Commissioner of Police for his exemplary leadership and guidance, and assured that the officers would continue to serve with renewed commitment and professionalism.
The decoration ceremony was attended by members of the Command’s management team, other officers, and family members and friends of the promoted officers.
