-

The Esther Child Rights Foundation,  a not-for-profit organization in Lagos State, Nigeria, has concluded plans to head to Ghana to speak against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.

The Executive Director of this human rights organization, Ms Esther Ekwem said that during the seminar, particular attention will be paid to issues relating to domestic violence, child abuse, rape, and defilement, among other issues.

Ekwem further explained that the forthcoming trip to Ghana became necessary after she received information that Ghana also has challenges with SGBV.

She stressed that just as in Nigeria, Ghana has a similar problem of, “Labourers being few while the harvest is much.”

The programme will take off on the 9th of May, 2025, to end on the 10th, between the hours of 4:pm to 7:pm, which are Friday and Saturday respectively.

Ekwem is the host of the event, while Apostle George Wonder T.Kissoi (JP) and Mr Jonathan Kofi are guest speakers.

The venue for the event is Restore Mandate Global Ministries, Agape Park, Gbawe-Gonse, Off Walker Road, Opposite a Mosque.
