FCT Police Issues Stern Warning Over Alleged Planned Attack on Task Force Officials

-

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has issued a firm warning in response to a viral voice note circulating on social media, which alleges a plot by commercial motorcyclists—popularly known as Okada riders—to carry out a violent attack on Task Force operatives stationed in Kubwa, Abuja, on Friday, July 11, 2025.

In a strongly worded statement, the Command condemned any such plans as acts of criminality and vowed to respond decisively using all lawful measures.

“Any person or group involved in planning, instigating, or contemplating any form of violent protest or attack against law enforcement officials will be dealt with,” said SP Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command.

Residents in and around Kubwa may notice an increase in police presence and operational deployments—a preventive measure aimed at maintaining peace.

The Command stressed that these reinforcements are not to be misconstrued.
