Five arrested for attacking convoy of Osun State First Lady

The Osun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the attack on the Osun State First Lady, Kafayat Oyetola, on 19th of August 2022.

According to a police signal, the convoy was attacked at Owode Ede Market Expressway by the hoodlums. Julianafrancisnews.com gathered that following the incident, the police had since arrested five people.

The signal further states: “The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ede Police Station mobilised promptly and led detectives  to the scene, where the team met a Chief Superintendent of Police Dauda Ismail,  CSO to his Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State and he stated that one Omolola Opeyemi of Ijebu Ode , a driver of one truck without registration number blocked the movement of the first lady as a result of the traffic blockage, the driver was wounded at his forehead  while some hoodlums took advantage of that  and started hurling stones at the convoy vehicles that got one DSS personnel wounded. However, five suspects were arrested from the scene. Further investigation is still ongoing.”
