How gunmen stormed Commissioner’s residence, kidnapped him-PPRO

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ramhan Nansel, has confirmed and explained how the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Yakubu Lawal, was kidnapped by gunmen.

According to Nansel, the incident happened on Monday 15th August 2022.

He added: “On Monday, August 15th, 2022, at about 8:45 p.m, the attention of police operatives on routine patrol was drawn to the sound of sporadic shootings in the Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the State.  Operatives attached to Nassarawa Eggon Division immediately raced to the scene.”

julianafrancisnews.com gathered that military personnel, Police Mobile Force Anti-Kidnapping Unit, local vigilante, and hunters have joined in the search for the kidnapped Lawal.

The image maker further said: “The gunmen stormed the residence of the commissioner and forcibly abducted and took him to an unknown destination. The CP is asking anyone with useful information to alert the command so that the Commissioner could be rescued, and his abductors arrested.”
