The Nigeria Police Force has launched investigations into the assassination of police sergeant Echoda Philip, who was killed in his Nasarawa State apartment.

Securitynewsalert.com gathered the killers after ensuring the sergeant was dead and left without taking any valuables from the apartment.

The deceased is said to be attached to Sports Department, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Police Command.

The incident was said to have occurred on the 26th of October 2022, at about 3:30 am.

According to eyewitnesses, the killers were five young boys, armed with knives and axes. The sergeant was believed to have been tortured before being killed.

A police source said: “It was a pure assassination and no arrest has been made. Some young boys numbering about five persons, armed with knives and axes, went to Sergeant Echoda Philip, attached to Sport, FCT, Police Command Abuja and stabbed the said sergeant to death at his residence in Uke Karu lga Nassarawa State. Nothing was taken away from his residence. His remains have been deposited at Uke General Hospital, Morgue. However, the investigation is still ongoing.”
