The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a condolence visit to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, following the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) 931 aircraft crash that claimed 25 lives.

Disu, who visited Aneke on Friday, October 9, 2026, conveyed the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to the leadership, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force over the tragic incident.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the police chief to express solidarity with the families of the deceased and colleagues mourning the loss of the victims.

According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the IGP expressed sympathy with the Nigerian Air Force and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues of those who died in the crash.

“The Nigeria Police Force remains in solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force at this difficult time and honours the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives,” the statement said.

The condolence visit underscores the police force’s support for the Nigerian Air Force as it mourns the victims of the fatal aircraft crash.
