 …Suspected Cultist On Police Wanted List For Killings, Finally Arrested

 

A 32-year-old Disc Jockey, Victor Dickson, has died in hospital after he was shot on stage by a group suspected to be cult members.

Lagos State Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said the incident occurred on March 8, 2025.

He explained: “On the 8th of March, some group of boys stormed a hotel along community road Abule-Ado, shot the DJ  on stage and inflicted a matchet cut on him. Police operatives dashed to the scene and tried to pursue the assailants as they escaped through the FESTAC axis.

“One of the assailants, Christian Chukwudi aka Marshall  General, 35, is a notorious robber, who is also a cultist. He has been terrorising the area and was arrested with the assistance of a local vigilante in FESTAC while escaping. A locally fabricated short gun with 1 live cartridge was recovered from him 1 live cartridge was also recovered at the hotel. Preliminary investigation revealed him to be a leading member of a cult group. The injured victim, Victor Dickson, 32, later died at hospital.”

Also, on the 8th of March 2025 at about 7:05 am a team of policemen attached to the Iju Division while on Stop And Search duty at Fagba Junction Iju arrested a notorious cultist named Ibrahim Toheeb, 26, alias Baale who had been on Police Wanted List for cults related killings.

Hundeyin said that Toheed has been on the Police Wanted List for a while and currently during his arrest, other members of his group escaped.

The Police, during a search discovered some wraps of illicit drugs.

In another development, the police arrested a suspected armed robber on the 7th of March and recovered arms.

This feat was achieved by the police team attached to the Ketu Division while on stop and search duty at “Y” Junction Along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

The Police Team accosted a suspected hoodlum later identified as Shaibu Useni, 27. On searching him, a locally made revolver long gun with four expended cartridges and some substances suspected to be hard drugs were recovered.
