Kebbi Police Command Honours Officer In Charge Of Gender Based Violence As She Retires From Service

In it’s efforts to ensuring the welfare of it’s personnel, the Kebbi State Police Command under the able leadership of CP Bello M Sani had organized a befitting sendforth ceremony in honor of the officer in charge of gender unit, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Birnin Kebbi, CSP Ladi Haruna Maidawa, who retired from the Nigeria Police Force after attaining the mandatory 35 years of meritorious service as required by the Public Service Rules.

While describing the celebrant as a successful, dedicated, disciplined and firm police officer, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, ably represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, DCP Ishaq Isma’il Salihu, prayed for the Almighty Allah to continue to assist CSP Ladi in her retirement life. He urged junior officers to emulate the dedication and integrity of CSP Ladi, so that they too could succeed in their future endeavours.

The Technical Working Committee on gender based violence under the office of the wife of the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Her Excellency, Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, appreciated the giant strides of CSP Ladi in the war against GBV in the state.

Other officers who spoke during the epoch-making event described CSP Ladi as a successful officer and congratulated her on her retirement from the Force after meritorious service to the Nation.

The event ended with the presentation of gifts and goodwill messages from the officers and men of the Kebbi State Police Command, as well as the guests.

In her response, the celebrant thanked the commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M Sani and his management team for finding her worthy to hold the gender unit of the Command for many years. She equally appreciated her immediate family for bearing with her during her period of service. She requested officers and men of the Command to forgive her, as she had forgiven everybody.
