Kidnappers Invade Ijede Community In Lagos, Kill Security Dogs, Abduct Two Persons

The Lagos State Police Command said that suspected kidnappers have stormed Ijede Community in the State and abducted a woman and man, after neutralising a security dog.

The Lagos State Police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said that Police got wind of the incident on the 26th of March 2025.

His words: “We received information that some kidnappers invaded Ijede community and kidnapped two persons.

“On receipt of the report Police Operatives were mobilized to the scene where it was observed that the kidnappers forcefully gained entrance into the house of one 40-year-old Dare, fired and killed the security dog and kidnapped the said Dare.

“The kidnappers equally forced their way into the nearby house and kidnapped the landlord’s daughter, identified as 25-year-old  Taiwo.

“Sequel to the above report rescue of kidnapped victims be informed that with the rigorous and collaborative efforts of both the Police, Joint Task Force other stakeholders, the kidnapped victims were on the 29th of March, 2025 rescued unhurt and handed over to their family members. The area is relatively calm and being closely monitored. Efforts are on to arrest the wanted suspects further development will be communicated.”
