Late lawyer killed by his ex-wife, alleged Kebbi Police

Homicide detectives from the Kebbi State Police Command have arrested 30 years old Farida Abubakar, who allegedly killed her ex-husband, Barrister Attahiru Ibrahim and then ran to conceal herself in a chicken cage.

Homicide detectives said that they started investigating the case after Habibu Isah on 25th September 2022, reported at the Gwadangaji Divisional Police Headquarters that, on the same date at about 2:45 PM, he heard a strange noise from the house of his neighbour, Barrister Ibrahim.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora stated that on receipt of the information, a team of policemen swiftly rushed to the scene and found the said Attahiru Ibrahim lying in a pool of his blood and was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor. When his house was searched, his ex-wife, Farida Abubakar, was seen hiding in a chicken cage of the house. Hence, she was suspected and arrested in connection with the case. The suspect will soon be charged to court accordingly.”

Also on 21st September at about 10:22 PM, Yakini Garba, conspired with Babangida Makeri, to hide their phone number and then called Aisha Abubakar of Dirin Daji town, threatening to kidnap and kill her if she did not them N800,000. The suspects have since been arrested.
