The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, who said that 57 cattle and 12 sheep were recovered from the two suspects, Manu Riskuwa and Muhammad Gide, added that they were arrested after police followed their footprints.

He further explained: “On 21 September 2022, at about 5:PM, the suspects trespassed into the residence of Usman Muhammed of Kwanan Biri village, Bagudo Local Government Area and stole his cattle. After following their footprints, the two suspects were apprehended along Bagudo road in possession of the stolen cows and 57 other cows and 12 sheep, which they could not give a satisfactory account of. During the investigation, they mentioned that one Garba Usman of Gidan Daji village, Maiyama LGA, was the remaining cows’ owner. Hence, he was also arrested in connection with the case.
