The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has raised the alarm over fraudulent letters currently in circulation, falsely claiming to offer admission into the Academy’s 77 Regular Course (RC).
In a statement issued by Major Reuben Kovangiya, the Academy Public Relations Officer, the NDA said the fake letters are being circulated by fraudsters posing as officials of the institution, with the intent of deceiving and defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
“The attention of the Nigerian Defence Academy has been drawn to fraudulent letters purportedly signed by the Academy Registrar, offering admission into the NDA 77 Regular Course,” the statement said. “The NDA wishes to state unequivocally that the letter circulating is fake and the handiwork of fraudsters.”
The Academy clarified that the official admission list of successful candidates and reserves for the 77 Regular Course was published on August 19, 2025, in Daily Trust and Daily Sun newspapers, as well as on the NDA’s official website. It added that successful candidates have already resumed, and the admission process for the 77 Regular Course has been fully concluded.
The NDA therefore urged members of the public to disregard any letter, message, or communication claiming to offer admission into the Academy outside the official process.
As a precaution, the Academy advised prospective candidates and the general public to always verify admission-related information directly with the Office of the Academy Registrar through the official email address: academyregistrar@nda.edu.ng.
The NDA reiterated its commitment to transparency and warned that it will not hesitate to work with security agencies to track and prosecute individuals involved in admission-related scams.
