One killed, three others injured in multiple auto crashes in Lagos

A man was killed, and three other people were injured in auto crashes at the Cele bus stop on the Oshodi Apapa Expressway, Lagos, today 22nd of December, 2022.

According to eyewitnesses, the Mack truck fell on a Volkswagen bus with registration number AKD 489XZ, a highlander Jeep with registration number AGL 366FP and a Toyota RAV4 with registration number AAA 353FH.

It was also gathered that officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), were part of rescue teams that evacuate the wounded victims along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Lagos State.

Operatives LASTMA rescued passengers inside a commercial bus that was involved in an accident with a 40ft container along Apapa- Oshodi by PM Filling Station, Cele inward Mile 2 area of Lagos.

According to Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq: “The accident which occurred around 1:09 PM had the driver of A commercial bus,  AKD 469 XZ, dying instantly with two other private cars involved in the accident, Toyota Highlander AGL 366 FP & Toyota 4Runner AAA 353 FH. The corpse of the dead commercial bus driver was immediately handed over to his wife and family members who came to the accident scene. Other passengers rescued by LASTMA Officials were handed over to medical personnel of emergency responders who came to the accident scene.”
