Police Order Manhunt Over Alleged Sexual Molestation of 17-Year-Old Boy in Ogun

-

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has ordered an immediate manhunt for a man identified as Kola, following an allegation of sexual molestation involving a 17-year-old boy.

The police said the matter was formally reported at the Adigbe Police Division on September 8, 2026, at about 5:00 p.m., after the teenager was brought to the station by his parents.

According to the Command, the teenager alleged that Kola sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January 2026 and allegedly threatened him into keeping silent about the incidents.

Following the report, the teenager was taken to a hospital within the Adigbe area for medical examination, while detectives commenced an investigation into the allegation.

The Command, however, clarified that the alleged offences only came to its attention following the formal complaint made on September 8.

The suspect, identified simply as Kola, is currently at large.

CP Ojajuni has consequently directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest the suspect.

The police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi B. Babasayi, said the Command was treating the case as a matter of urgency.

“The Command assures the public that the allegation is receiving urgent, professional and sensitive investigation,” Babasayi said.

He added that the Command remained committed to protecting children and other vulnerable persons.

The Ogun State Police Command urged members of the public with relevant information that could assist in locating the suspect to make such information available to the police.
