PSFU Partners Institute Of Public Safety and Security In the Work Environment To Organise Training For Officers

-

The Commissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Lagos, CP Rose Chollom Dung, in partnership with the Institute of Public Safety and Security in Work Environment, organised a comprehensive training program for officers and men of the Unit.

The training featured sessions on emerging investigative trends, forensic analysis, and case management strategies.

It aims at enhancing investigative techniques and analytical skills, forming part of the Unit’s continuous effort to strengthen professionalism, intelligence-led investigation, and adherence to global best practices in fraud detection and prosecution.

The CP, in her opening remarks while participating in the training, emphasised that the training highlights the Unit’s commitment towards capacity building as a vital tool for effective crime fighting, particularly in the dynamic landscape of fraud-related crimes. She noted that improved investigative styles will not only ensure more credible outcomes in complex fraud investigations but also enhance public trust in the Unit’s operations.

The Commissioner expressed her gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for his leadership style, which is geared towards personnel development and a professionally driven Police Force.

She further appreciated the Institute for its strategic collaboration and technical support, describing the partnership as timely and essential in equipping officers with modern investigative skills.

The CP concluded by reiterating the Unit’s commitment to ensuring that its personnel undergo continuous development to meet contemporary challenges in law enforcement and financial crime investigations.
