The House of Representatives Committee investigating the activities of the Public-Private Infrastructure and Financing Commission (PFIPC) has uncovered 12 other allegedly fake agencies and 58 bank accounts reportedly linked to the Commission’s Director-General, Adeniyi Adeyemi.
The committee also accused Adeyemi of being connected to the alleged widespread forgery of government documents, raising concerns about possible institutional lapses and abuse of public office.
Following the findings, the lawmakers called for the prosecution of the PFIPC Director-General, subject to the conclusion of investigations by relevant security and anti-corruption agencies.
The committee said its findings would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and necessary action.
The lawmakers’ recommendations are expected to be considered alongside the outcome of ongoing investigations into the activities of the commission and the allegations against its Director-General.
