The primary 3 pupil, Abayomi Michael, who in a viral video was repeatedly slapped by his class teacher for being unable to write numerals has been given a scholarship to the university level.
Gidi Real Estate Limited in Lagos gave Abayomi Michael a scholarship to the University level, two two-bedroom flats for his family and one million naira to take care of his immediate needs.
The firm said it took into consideration the fact that the mother is a widow and a cleaner in the same school where the assault took place and it hoped that the gesture would spur little Michael to greater heights.
