Sea pirates attack policemen, cart away five AK47 rifles

The Nigeria Police Force is still frantically searching for five of its AK47 rifles, carted away by suspected sea pirates in Southern Ijaw, Bayelsa State.

Julianafrancisnews.com gathered that following the incident, professional drivers were invited to go into the water, hoping to recover the bodies of policemen. The incident was said to have occurred on the 26th of July 2022.

The pirates were alleged to have attacked 39 people, with two being civilians, seven were mobile policemen and others were conventional policemen.

The two civilians were attached to Dalong Security and Guard company.

The men were ambushed and attacked at Korokorosei Creek. The pirates went away with five AK47 rifles loaded with 60 rounds each of ammunition, which were assigned to the Mopol personnel.

A source told Julianafrancisnews.com: “One corpse, identified as a Mopol personnel has been recovered, and search operation by local divers is ongoing to recover the corpses of others who are feared killed.”
