Sergeant arrested with two locally made guns, two ID cards, charms

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the activities of a serving policeman sergeant identified as Jimoh Ibrahim, attached to Sagamu Road Division, alleged to have unlicensed guns and charms.

Ibrahim was arrested at a hotel in Ikorodu called Skyhomes Lounge and Bar Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State, following a tip-off to the police.

He has in his possession two locally made Bereta Pistols, 13 live ammunition, expended 9mm ammunition, charms, three iPhone 12, Techno Phone, two police identity cards bearing his name, and four Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards of different banks.

He was arrested by policemen attached to Ikorodu Division on 17th July 2022 at about 9:30 pm.

Ibrahim, with F/No. 508662, told the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Ikorodu Division that he was a serving policeman, working with the Sagamu Road Division.

He has since been transferred to the Ikeja Police Command for further investigation.

When Julianafrancisnews.com contacted the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin on the matter, he said there was no such report yet before him.
