Syndicate using social media to lure men into sexual affairs busted

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested four people for allegedly using social media to lure men into sexual affairs.

The suspects have been identified as Okechukwu Ogoejiofor 36, Nonso Nwizu, 34, Esther Nwafor lfeanyichukwu 21 and Obianuju Nduba, 20.

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ikenga Tochukwu, said that the suspects were arrested on 8th August 2022 at Ajakpani village, Umuanya in Oyi LGA, for alleged conspiracy, demanding with menaces and stealing.

He added: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects used social media to leave lure their unsuspecting male victims into fake love affairs. They, thereafter, take the victim to a room, where Obianuju Nduba engages the victim in foreplay. The other members of the gang force themselves into the room and take nude pictures and videos of the victims, which they use to force the victims into transferring huge sums of money to them, with the threat of publishing the same on social media if the victims fail to comply and dispossess the individual of his personal belongings. The case shall be charged to court once investigations are concluded.”
