Terrorists Invade Kwara Community, Abduct Pregnant Woman, Children and Nursing Mothers

-

Tension has gripped the Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State after terrorists launched a deadly attack on Monday evening, abducting a pregnant woman, 10 children, two nursing mothers and several others.

The attack, reported by SaharaReporters, occurred just a short distance from Eruku, another community recently hit by a similar mass kidnapping.

The incident happened around 6 pm on November 24, 2025, when between 20 and 30 armed bandits stormed the community. The attackers reportedly advanced with a large herd of cattle while shooting sporadically to create panic.

An elderly woman was hit by a stray bullet during the assault.

A community leader, who confirmed the incident, said 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same household. The victims include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers and several young children.

Residents say the latest incident has deepened fear across neighbouring communities, many of which have been battling recurring attacks by armed groups.
