Three arrested for being in possession of N17m

The Kebbi State Police Command said it has arrested three people for being in possession of currency notes worth the sum of N17,000,000.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, said that on the 29th of January at about 9:10 am, Police personnel attached to Warrah Police Station with the help of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at Warrah Motor Park, arrested three persons in possession of currency notes worth the sum of N17,000,000, reasonably suspected to be counterfeit.

The suspects are: Faruku Zubairu, Ibrahim Musa and Salisu Mohammed all of Gungun Tawaye and Chupamini villages, Ngaski Local Government Area respectively.

According to Kontagora, investigation has been completed and the suspects will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
