Tinubu Orders 24-Hour Security Cordon, Expanded Air Surveillance Over Kwara Forests

-

President Bola Tinubu has directed a full security cordon over forest areas in Kwara State following recent incidents of kidnapping and terrorist activities.

According to a statement shared by former Minister Sunday Dare, the President has ordered the Nigerian Air Force to intensify and expand air surveillance across the deep forest areas where criminal groups are believed to be hiding.

The Air Force is expected to maintain 24-hour monitoring and work closely with security teams operating on the ground.

The directive, Dare added, also extends to parts of Kebbi and Niger States, where security forces are conducting operations, and more victims are expected to be rescued.

Communities within the affected regions have been urged to promptly report unusual movements or suspicious activities to support the operations of security agencies.
