The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M Sani, had on Wednesday, 12th November, 2025, received the Regional Humanitarian Access and Negotiation Team Advisor, Médecins Sans Frontières/ Doctors Without Borders, Mal. Isah Kanta, for a courtesy visit in his office at the state headquarters, Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi.
Mal. Isah Kanta briefed the CP that he was on a working visit in Nigeria to supervise their projects across the country. While in Kebbi State, he deemed it necessary to visit the CP in line with their ongoing collaboration with key stakeholders in the state, with a view to enhancing the mutual understanding between the Police and MSF, as well as to appreciate the contribution, support and advice of the Command, which enable them to perform their activities efficiently in the State.
Similarly, the CP also received for a courtesy visit, the Team Lead, Child Protection Network Nigeria, Kebbi State Chapter, Ms Le’atu Bamaiyi and her entourage in his office. In her submission, she informed the CP that they are observing the Global 16 Days of Activism, commencing from November 25 to December 10, as an international campaign aimed at raising awareness and mobilisation to end all forms of violence against women and girls. She added that this year’s observance emphasises partnership, leadership and collective community responsibility in preventing and responding to GBV.
She reiterated that, being the Police, one of the core agencies mandated to ensure community safety, protection and due enforcement of laws against Gender- Based Violence, hence the need for this visit, to appreciate the Police’s indispensable role in safeguarding lives, maintaining public order and supporting survivors of abuse.
In the same vein, CP Bello M Sani equally hosts the chairman, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, Kebbi State Chapter, Alhaji Muhammad Na Hali Kamba and his management team. During the visit, Alhaji Kamba formally introduced the leadership of the newly inaugurated NAGAFF, Kebbi State Chapter and explored possible collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force in the areas of law enforcement, trade security and the protection of legitimate businesses at border and transit points within the state.
He deeply appreciated the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order, and believed the present engagement would provide an opportunity to strengthen partnership and promote better understanding between NAGAFF and the Police Command.
While responding, the CP welcomed and appreciated his August visitors for finding time to visit him in his office, and reiterated the Command’s unwavering determination to ensure more collaborations and partnerships with them.
The CP urged them to ensure compliance with relevant laws and assured them of his continued support in the State.
